Callaway Golf and Jon Rahm Announce Long-Term Partnership Extension

Today Callaway Golf, one of the industry’s leaders in golf equipment design, performance, and innovation, and Jon Rahm, one of the best players in the world, announced a new long-term partnership extension.

Rahm joined Callaway in 2021 and earned his first major championship win at the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, which moved him to Number One in the World Golf Rankings. He won three more times in 2022 and has continued his remarkable run of form this season. Jon leads the PGA TOUR with four wins in 2023, highlighted by his second major championship in April at Augusta, where he delivered a masterful performance to secure the Green Jacket. 

Ping Slam PLD Limited Anser Putter Drops Tuesday July 18th

The PLD Limited Anser putter, the fourth of four precision-milled PING putters celebrating the brand winning all four major championships in 1988, will be available for purchase on pingpld.com, beginning at 2 pm ET on Tuesday, July 18.

Known as the “PING Slam”, the celebration recognizes a historic achievement that had never happened before 1988 and hasn’t happened since for any putter brand. SiriusXM Announces 151st Open Championship Coverage

SiriusXM announced today its coverage for The 151st Open when golf’s original championship is contested July 20-23 at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England.

SiriusXM will offer listeners 45 hours of live on-course coverage as the world’s best compete for the Claret Jug. Live Championship play-by-play will air Thursday through Sunday on SiriusXM’s “The Open Radio” channel, which will be available to subscribers in their cars (channel 92) and on the SXM App (siriusxm.us/TheOpenRadio). Championship broadcasts will begin on SiriusXM on Thursday and Friday at 2:00 am ET, and on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 am ET, and will continue through the conclusion of each day’s play.

74th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship Inside the Field

The U.S. Girls' Junior Championship gets underway next week from the United States Air Force Academy Eisenhower Blue Course with a field of 156 players competing for the prestigious title.

The players range in age from 12 years-old to 18 years-old, representing 14 different countries.  Here's a closer look at the girls in the 74th edition of this championship.

The 74th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship kicks off next week on the United States Air Force Academy Eisenhower Golf Club’s Blue Course.

The course will be set up at 6,778 yards and will play to a par of 36-36–72. It will be the longest course in U.S. Girls’ Junior history, surpassing Forest Highlands Golf Club’s Meadow Course in Flagstaff, Ariz., which measured 6,718 yards in 2014.

Top Americans Davis and Sargent Named to 2023 World Amateur Teams

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has named top-ranked Americans Anna Davis, of Spring Valley, Calif., and Gordon Sargent, of Birmingham, Ala., as the first automatic selections to the 2023 USA World Amateur Teams. The 33rd men’s championship will take place Oct. 18-21, followed by the 30th women’s championship Oct. 25-28, at Abu Dhabi Golf Club (National Course) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Davis (No. 4 in WAGR) and Sargent (No. 1) have earned exemption as the top Americans in each respective World Amateur Golf Ranking®/WAGR® as of June 21. The men’s team will be captained by Mark Newell, USGA past president, and the women’s team by Courtney Myhrum, USGA executive committee member.

Jackson Captures Women’s Title; Popert Edges Stone, Defending Champ Lee for Men’s Title

A homemade sign that was posted in one of the backyards facing the 10th hole of Pinehurst Resort’s No. 6 Course this week read simply: Congratulations – you are all winners. It is an appropriate sentiment for a championship that is an enriching mixture of camaraderie and competition.

Even so, the 96 players in the 2nd U.S. Adaptive Open, each competing in one of eight impairment categories as well as for the overall titles, were very much playing to win. When the dust settled, Kipp Popert of England and Ryanne Jackson of Seminole, Fla., came away as the overall men’s and women’s champions, respectively.

78th U.S. Women's Open Winner Plays Graphite Design Tour AD

Sepp Strake Claims Second PGA Tour Victory with Scorching Final Round

Sepp Straka claimed his second PGA TOUR title at the John Deere Classic, carding a career-best round of 9-under 62 playing a mixed bag of Srixon/Cleveland Golf clubs and the Srixon Z-STAR XV golf ball to secure his win.

Straka’s triumph was aided by his complete play throughout the week. After opening the tournament with a 73, he played the final 54 holes at 23-under par and ranked first in strokes gained total and gained seven strokes on the field in the final round. Reflecting on his victory, Straka expressed how hard he’s been working behind the scenes and feeling good about his game leading up to this win.

LIV Golf Team Championship Returns to Miami

Jackson Holds Her Lead while Popert Fires 69 to Vault Ahead on Men’s Side

Carolina blue skies and lower humidity greeted the 96 competitors for Round 2 of the 2nd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship at Pinehurst Resort’s Course No. 6, setting the stage for players to jockey for position heading into Wednesday’s final round. First-round leader Conor Stone of Ireland had another under-par score in the works before stumbling to a bogey-double bogey finish, allowing 25-year-old Kipp Popert of England to claim the 36-hole advantage after he fired a 3-under-par 69. Popert, who has cerebral palsy, stands at 5-under 139 for the championship, one stroke clear of Stone and two strokes ahead of defending men’s champion Simon Lee.

On the women’s side, first-round leader Ryanne Jackson, 25, of Seminole, Fla., improved by one stroke on Tuesday and completed a 3-over-par 75. Her 36-hole total of 7-over 151 is three strokes clear of defending women’s champion Kim Moore, of Battle Creek, Mich., who shot the best round of the day among women with a 1-over 73.

Allisen Corpuz Finds Paradise at Pebble Beach; Wins U.S. Women’s Open Championship

Late Friday afternoon, Hawaii’s greatest female golf ambassador, Michelle Wie West, exited the U.S. Women’s Open stage at Pebble Beach Golf Links with an emotional farewell. Two days later, a new star from the 50th state took a familiar stroll down the iconic par-5 18th hole. But this time, the cheers were for the latest winner of this storied championship, Allisen Corpuz.

Corpuz, 25, joined her fellow Hawaiian as a U.S. Women’s Open champion, shooting a final-round, 3-under-par 69 (72-hole total of 9-under 279) to claim the 78th edition by three strokes over Charley Hull (66) and Jiyai Shin (68).

USGA Announces Tee Times for 2nd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 2nd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship on Monday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 11 at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club (Course No. 6) in Pinehurst, N.C.

The U.S. Adaptive Open consists of eighteen holes of stroke play each day from Monday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 12. Now in its second edition, this national championship showcases the world’s best golfers with disabilities. The U.S. Adaptive Open Championship serves as the USGA’s 15th national championship, showcasing and celebrating the adaptive golf community by providing them the stage to achieve their dreams and compete for a national championship.

Nasa Hataoka Launches Into 54-Hole Lead at Breezy Pebble Beach

After two days of damp, overcast conditions, the third round of the first women’s major championship on these historic links featured the kind of weather so many have been accustomed to seeing when U.S. Opens are contested here.

Pine Valley Golf Club To Host 2034 Curtis Cup Match

Pine Valley Golf Club, in Pine Hill, N.J., will host the 2034 Curtis Cup Match, the United States Golf Association (USGA) announced today. The venerable golf club has previously hosted the 1936 and 1985 Walker Cup Matches.

“We are committed to bringing our championships to the finest golf courses in the country, and over the last several years, that commitment has only strengthened for our women’s championships,” said Mike Whan, CEO of the USGA. “That is why, on the eve of a monumental first U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach, this is a fitting and historic announcement for the Curtis Cup and the USGA.”

2nd U.S. Adaptive Open – Fact Sheet

The second U.S. Adaptive Open kicks off next week from Pinehurst No. 6.  The course was designed by George and Tom Fazio and opened in 1979.

Redesigns and restorations were done by Tom Fazio in 2005 to carve new bunkers, soften angles and seed faster greens. The nines will be reversed for championship play.

78th U.S. Women's Open Championship Storylines

This is the 78th U.S. Women’s Open Championship and the fifth in the state of California.

The first U.S. Women’s Open, played at Spokane (Wash.) Country Club in 1946 and won by Patty Berg, was the only one conducted at match play. The Women’s Professional Golfers Association (WPGA) conducted three U.S. Women’s Opens, and in 1949, the newly formed Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) took over operation of the championship. The LPGA ran the Women’s Open for four years, but in 1953 asked the United States Golf Association (USGA) to conduct the championship, which it has done ever since.

USGA Announces Tee Times for 78th U.S. Women's Open Championship

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, Thursday (July 6) and Friday (July 7), at 6,509-yard, par-72 Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links.

The U.S. Women’s Open is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition. A field of 156 players will play 18 holes of stroke play on July 6 and 7, after which the field will be reduced to the low 60 scores and ties. Those players making the cut will play 18 holes on July 8 and 9. If there is a tie upon the completion of 72 holes, a two-hole aggregate playoff will immediately follow. If this playoff results in a tie, the tied players will immediately continue to play off hole-by-hole until the winner is determined.

USGA Announces Three Additional Exemptions for 78th U.S. Women’s Open Championship

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced that three additional players have earned full exemptions into the 78th U.S. Women’s Open Championship, to be contested July 6-9 at Pebble Beach Golf Links, based on the current Women’s Rolex World Golf Rankings, bringing the number of fully exempt players to 89. Additionally, two alternates from qualifying were added to the field.

Akie Iwai, of Japan, who had qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open on May 29 in Japan, is now fully exempt based on her No. 50 ranking. This will be her first appearance in the championship. Now that Iwai is fully exempt, Chizuru Komiya, first alternate from the Japan qualifying site, has been added to the field and will also make her championship debut.

Tour Edge’s Bernhard Langer Sets PGA TOUR Champions Victory Record After Capturing the U.S. Senior Open

It was a Sunday for the ages for Bernhard Langer and his golf equipment sponsor Tour Edge at the 43rd U.S. Senior Open in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Their ageless staff player won for the 46th time on the PGA TOUR Champions, setting the record for all-time victories, picking up his 14th major championship trophy and breaking his own record as the oldest PGA TOUR winner at 65 years, 10 months and 5 days.

Ageless Wonder Bernhard Langer Leads at Midway Point in 43rd U.S. Senior Open at SentryWorld

Bernhard Langer will tell anyone that age is just a number. The birth certificate might say he’s 65, but the German doesn’t look or play like someone headed for a comfortable retirement recliner.

Certainly not after the World Golf Hall of Famer carded a 3-under 68 on Friday at SentryWorld to take a one-shot lead over first-round leader Rod Pampling, of Australia, into the weekend of the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship. Langer, who opened with a 71, sits at 139 through 36 holes.

Rickie Fowler Plays Basketball in Detroit with PUMA Golf

PUMA Golf disrupts sport culture by fusing golf and basketball at The Rocket Mortgage Classic this week in Detroit. The launch features a green turf basketball court complete with baskets, where fans will be able to shoot some hoops while watching the PGA Tour event.

Sand Creek Station to Host 2024 U.S. Adaptive Open Championship

The USGA has announced that Sand Creek Station, in Newton, Kan., will be the host site of the 3rd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship, set to be held July 8-10, 2024. The course previously hosted the 2014 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.

EA Sports PGA Tour UPDATE 4.5 Includes 60 FPS and Other Fantastic Additions

EA Sports PGA Tour has deployed Title Update 4.5, which includes a highly requested feature by the community, “Performance Mode” or 60 FPS. PS5 and Xbox Series X players can now use the new “Visual Quality” setting to toggle between “Quality Mode” and “Performance Mode” in the in-game visual settings screen.
