Dundonald Links Ultimate Aryshire Golf Package Offers a Trio of Award Winning Scottish Courses

The great irony of golf thriving globally post-pandemic is that many of the most desirable golf resorts and courses are sold out this year. Fortunately for them, Dundonald Links has teamed up with some of the world’s best, most revered courses to offer the “Ultimate Ayrshire Golf Package.”

Starting at £3,000, the package includes accommodations for eight (single occupancy rooms) in Dundonald Links’ new luxury lodges with private putting green. It also includes three scrumptious dinners at the acclaimed Canny Crow Restaurant in the award-winning clubhouse, a BBQ dinner catered at the private lodge setting, a Bunnahabhain Whisky Tasting, transfer to and from the golf venues and the international airport in Glasgow (code: GLA), and 18-hole rounds at historic and/or world Top 100 courses. (Additional, same-day rounds may be purchased independent of the package at a value rate.)

The three courses included are:

Dundonald Links, home of an 18-hole championship course, won two Scottish Golf Tourism awards for its excellence earlier this year. It will again host the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open this summer, testament to the elite quality of its layout, design, and conditions.

Western Gailes, a “World Top 100 Course” (source: GOLF Magazine/golf.com), that dates back over 125 years to 1897. Stretching to over 7,000 yards from the championship tees, the entire links lies adjacent to the sea.

Prestwick Golf Club, birthplace of the Open Championship more than 160 years ago with the original design authored by Old Tom Morris, it includes epic, world-famous holes such as Himalayas and Alps.

All three courses are located close to one another and the sea, providing convenience, astounding courses, first-class service, and the country’s newest luxury golf resort at Dundonald Links.

Its popular golf course was transformed into a full, opulent resort that had its first full season in 2022, spearheaded by an exquisite clubhouse. The spacious facility has received much acclaim for its Highlands-inspired aesthetic and restaurant. The quintessentially Scottish whisky room offers tasting sessions – including a cask of rare whisky, the only one of its kind in the world – while the resort’s state-of-the-art gym boasts a wide range of equipment. Guests report that the refined, sumptuous clubhouse is the perfect place to relax after golf, with panoramic views over the 18th green and beyond.

“The Dundonald Links Ultimate Ayrshire Golf Package provides discerning players with one of the finest golf experiences in the world, our guests report,” said Ian Ferguson, General Manager at Dundonald Links. “We look forward to welcoming new guests this year and currently have the capacity to do so.”

Owned by Darwin Escapes, Dundonald Links has been one of Scotland’s most popular golf courses. The Kyle Phillips’ designed layout is known for its challenging bunkers and imaginative greens, earning a place among Ayrshire’s iconic, nearby courses. The resort will host Final Qualifying for The Open this summer.
