The United States Golf Association (USGA) has announced that Newport (R.I.) Country Club will host the 44th U.S. Senior Open Championship. The historic venue was originally scheduled to be the host site of the 2020 championship, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be the fifth USGA championship to be held at Newport Country Club, which hosted the inaugural U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur championships in 1895. The dates of the U.S. Senior Open are June 27-30, 2024.
