The 25^th anniversary of Payne Stewart’s unforgettable victory at the 1999 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort will be commemorated this week when Pinehurst No. 2 course again plays host to our national championship. PGA Tour Champions Player Tim Petrovic Signs with Edel Golf

The Origins of Mike Strantz's Masterpiece at Caledonia

 In April 1993, nine months before Caledonia Golf & Fish Club was set to open, Doc Lachicotte took a local reporter on a tour of the property.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Lachicotte, who was part of the course’s ownership group until his passing at the age of 95 in 2022, told the Sun News. “We want to keep it that way.” 

RTJ II To Rediscover the History-Rich Cotton Bay Club in The Bahamas

Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects (RTJ II) has been awarded the commission to design a new golf course for Cotton Bay Club on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.

The original Cotton Bay Golf Club was part of Pan Am founder Juan Trippe’s ambitious Cotton Bay Club. In 1959, Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Trippe created a new golf destination on a remote stretch of pristine sand and sea on the island’s southern shore. Very quickly, the club was a hit, becoming a favorite for golf in the islands and hosting “Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf.” The course and resort closed following a hurricane in 2005, but the same adventurous spirit has been rekindled by the Cotton Bay Holdings Group, which has assembled a global team, including RTJ II, to create a brand-new world-class golf destination.

Chery Hills Country Club Names Veteran PGA Club Pro Bryan Nicholson as the Club's Eighth Head Professional

Cherry Hills Country Club, one of America’s most historic golf clubs and a 15-time major championship host site, has selected decorated PGA club professional Bryan Nicholson to become just the eighth head professional in the club’s 102-year history.
