Aerotech Golf SteelFiber FC Graphite Iron Shafts Preview - Become a Better Ball Striker

If you want to be a great ball striker you need to hit the high soaring ball with your irons and also the low penetrating missile.  And Aerotech Golf is making it easier in 2019 for us to fire darts and take control of our iron trajectories no matter what type of shot the course demands.

The new SteelFiber fc "Flight Control" graphite irons shafts will be unveiled next week at the PGA Merchandise Show, and these really could be the kind of shafts that once and for all make us the ball-strikers we've always hoped to one day become.

Progressive (or variable) tip design is a key technology in the fc shafts, allowing them to deliver higher ball flights in the mid and low irons, while maintaining the classic SteelFiber launch in the scoring irons.  And because no two golfers are alike, this means a lot of players who need higher trajectories in their long irons will now be able to experience and benefit from SteelFiber's advanced composite technologies.

Like all SteelFiber shafts, the new fc shafts reduce risk of injury, lessen aggravation of existing injuries, and decrease fatigue - all while delivering exceptional distance and accuracy.  Last year I used graphite shafts in one set of irons I played and can tell you without any reservation, if you put the right ones in your irons, you might never want to go back to steel shafts.

All four models of SteelFiber fc all use innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface.  The graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed, and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and added stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

The fc70 and fc80 shafts deliver the revolutionary flight control benefits at lighter weights for those players who want to generate faster swing speeds.  Trimmed weights in the fc70 range from 61 grams (in the pitching wedge) to 67 grams (in the 3-iron), while the fc80 offers trimmed weights ranging from 69 grams to 76 grams.

The SteelFiber fc90 and fc115 feature more traditional weighting inspired by the Tour-winning SteelFiber i-series shafts, and the fc90 design is based on the SteelFiber i95 bend profile.  The SteelFiber fc115 provides the easiest transition for players previously using full weight steel shafts, and will be the heaviest options in this series.

The fc70 and fc80 are available in a parallel tip configuration, while the fc90 and fc115 are available in parallel tip and taper tip configurations.  All taper tip models are "'Constant Weight," and therefore each shaft within the set weighs the same, regardless of length.

I'll have a lot more for you about Aerotech's new fc shafts next week live from the PGA Show.  In the meantime you can check out more on their spec sheets and trimming instructions, as well as the entire line of Aerotech shafts www.aerotechgolfshafts.com, and follow them on twitter @aerotechgolf.
