And for the third consecutive week on the PGA Tour, a Mitsubishi Golf shaft was used by the winner. Over on the European Tour side the winner there used an Aldila shaft, with Aldila and Mitsubishi combing to account for over 50-percent of all shafts in the field.
Paul Casey won the Valspar Championship using a Mitsubishi Diamana White D+ 70 X shaft in his driver and averaged over 305 yards from the tee. Casey used the same Mitsubishi Diamana White D+ shaft in his fairway wood, but with a heavier 80 X flex.
Mitsubishi also won the total driver and shaft counts at Valspar, and with Mitsubishi piling win on top of win on top of win, this continued success is making them look like a juggernaut.
Over in Malaysia, Scott Hend won the Maybank Championship in a dramatic playoff. Hend used the Aldila Rogue Silver 125 70 X in his driver and averaged a ridiculous 316 yards off the tee.
At the Maybank, Mitsubishi won the driver shaft count, and combined with Aldila to put over 80 driver shafts in play (that's more than 50-percent of the field).
Now I'm never going to be mistaken for a Tour player or hit my drives like the winners this week did. I've played and reviewed both the Mitsubishi Diamana and Aldila Rogue shafts however, and can attest these can bring added distance, control, and stability to anyone's game, no matter your skill level.
