FootJoy 2023 StaSoft Golf Glove Review

FootJoy has been the most worn golf glove on professional tours since 1983.  You put on a FootJoy glove and you know you're getting quality, reliability, comfort, and absolute, unparalleled performance.

And this year FootJoy updated their 2023 StaSof golf glove to improve on every aspect of the glove.  I kid you not.

You know how the Infinity Gauntlet glove harnesses the power of the Infinity Stones in the Marvel movies?  Well the new FootJoy StaSof glove pretty much gives you the power to confidently trust your grip in a way that could make you believe anything is possible.

Let's start with the design.  The 2023 StaSof looks similar the previous model and you really don't want to wholesale change something that's been so successful.  So while the updates to StaSof are subtle they're also profound (2023 StaSof glove on right in comparison pics below).

The Cabretta Leather with 2023 StaSoft glove is significantly softer.  All you have to do is touch it one time to feel it's noticeably softer, even smoother feeling than the previous model.  And it's not just on the outside.  The new StaSof is incredibly satisfying on your hand.  In fact it's the softest feeling FootJoy glove I've ever worn.

The 2023 StaSof glove is also lighter than the previous model.  When I first put it on all the way through the end of my round it almost felt like I wasn't wearing a glove.  Extremely light, even airy feeling.  And combined with the soft feel this made my hand feel more connected to the grip and seemed to give me greater feedback.

FootJoy also made the fit of the new StaSof glove more snug and more comfortable.  I compared the old model to the new StaSof directly and there's a tad more stretch with the 2023 glove.  And this makes the feel and fit better, more precise almost like a custom-fit sensation.  Comfort and fit with this glove is absolutely exceptional.

FootJoy also added more breathing holes to the new StaSof glove to keep your hand as cool as possible (something like 25-percent more holes).  The previous model StaSof glove was already very comfortable, cool, and breathable with great moisture wicking.  The new 2023 StaSof glove takes that all to another level.

I'm not sure the new StaSof glove is grippier than the old model.  But the lighter, softer Cabretta combined with a better fit and more stretch makes it feel like the grip sits more securely in my hand, and gives me the ultimate in control.

I've only worn the new StaSof glove for one round so can't comment on long term durability, but I expect these to be every bit as durable as the previous model.  Will update this review after a handful more rounds.

The Infinity Gauntlet of golf gloves?  That's the new 2023 FootJoy StaSof glove in a nutshell. Softer than ever, as good and comfortable a fit as you could ever want, improved and phenomenal breathability and moisture wicking, with a feel and grip you'll love and trust.

Yeah, the new StaSof golf gloves have some powers baby!  Well done FJ.

And just a side-note here from something I read in the StaSof packaging that might give you a laugh.  Any given week we see people busting on Adam Scott for his rather conservative apparel and variety of tan color preferences.

Well turns out as a kid Adam Scott used to save his allowance money to buy StaSof gloves from his local pro shop... you guessed it, in tan color.  I guess there's something to be said about this kind of consistency that's led to excellence for both Scott and FootJoy.
