EA SPORTS PGA TOUR has deployed Title Update 4.0, which celebrates the upcoming U.S. Open Championship happening this weekend with a new playable course, the Los Angeles Country Club, and updated designs in-game styled in the Season 3 U.S. Open Championship theme.
In addition to players being able to play the new course in all game modes, new challenges will also be released live during the major golf tournament that recreate iconic moments from each day.
On top of these seasonal improvements, the update also includes many quality of life updates and stability fixes, including updated Swing Meter visuals with improved visibility in bright skies.
The full list of patch notes can be found here and we also highlight some of the big ones below.
In time for Father’s Day weekend, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will be available to try for free on consoles alongside the U.S. Open Tournament. Beginning Thursday and concluding at the end of the Tournament on Sunday, Xbox Series S|X owners with Xbox Live Gold can try out the full-game via the Free Play Days promotion. Alternatively, PlayStation 5 owners with PlayStation Plus can also participate in the Free Play Weekend for four days.
EA SPORTS PGA TOUR continues to evolve with feedback from our passionate community and the EA Orlando team carries on behind the scenes to deliver more updates in the near future including a 60 FPS performance mode for consoles, additional event length options for career mode and turn-based online gameplay.
