2025 Bushnell Tour Hybrid Rangefinder Review: 10 Things to Know

The new 2025 Bushnell Tour Hybrid isn't the most expensive rangefinder Bushnell offers.  But it might be their best.  It's fast like a jackrabbit, accurate like a B-2 Stealth Bomber, and as easy to use as a light switch. It also gives you slope adjusted laser and GPS yardages.

If you're looking for a great Father's Day gift, something special for a new graduate, or even just a treat for yourself as golf season approaches full swing, the 2025 Bushnell Tour Hybrid really does it all.

Let's unpack this latest rangefinder from Bushnell and find out why it's so extraordinary.

Here are 10 Things to Know about the new Tour Hybrid:

Number 1. ▪️As soon as you put the Tour Hybrid in your hand you feel it's a premium, quality, solid construction.  The feel goes beyond being ergonomic.  It's satisfying like a firm handshake.  And waffled rubber construction on the top and bottom secures your grip even more.  There's no need to worry about it moving in your hand when it's raining or humid.

Number 2. ▪️The Tour Hybrid LCD display gives you incredibly bright and sharp images in normal light and even at sunrise and sunset.  Optics are crisp and color accurate with fantastic clarity and definition.  Before you even start shooting targets hold it to your eye and it's an absolute viewing pleasure.

Number 3. ▪️Field of view is an underrated feature in laser rangefinders and the Tour Hybrid range of view rivals some high power binoculars.  You can see up to 330 feet at 1,000 yards which means you're seeing a lot of the course when you're shooting targets.  It's an exceptionally wide field of view.  And that makes shooting targets easier and more enjoyable.

Number 4. ▪️I would tell you the Tour Hybrid is lighting fast picking up pins but honestly it's more accurate to say it's faster than lightning.  I'm talking blink-of-an-eye speed.  It takes longer to glance at your shoe strings.  You'll see a red ring flash when you've locked on and the rangefinder will vibrate to confirm your number (it's also a stronger vibration than the previous model).  The Tour Hybrid laser is also extremely powerful.  You get this same kind of speed in both sunny and cloudy conditions.

Number 5. ▪️So the Tour Hybrid feels great.  It has top-tier optics.  It's cheetah attack fast.  And what about precision?  How does accurate to within one yard grab you.  When you get a number with the Tour Hybrid you can be absolutely certain of its exactness.  When I'd reshoot pins just to confirm numbers they kept coming back identical or nearly identical.  And even on holes lined with trees behind the green Tour Hybrid was picking up pins consistently and repeatably.  With a total range of 1,300 yards and 6x magnification there isn't a target on the course you can't acquire confidently.

Number 6. ▪️You're getting slope adjusted laser distances with Tour Hybrid which is extremely useful but not new.  What is new with Tour Hybrid however is now you're also getting slope adjusted GPS distances to the front, middle, and back of the greens.  Knowing these green surround numbers along with and relative to the flag number gives you more options on how best to approach greens and helps you better determine what risks are worth taking and what risks are not.  You're attacking greens with more information and better strategy.  This is a game changer.  And of course you can easily toggle slope on and off by sliding the switch on the side.

Number 7. ▪️With all the new technology and improvements in the Tour Hybrid give credit to Bushnell for still keeping this simple to use.  Power it up and you get immediate readings and yardages.  Pressing the up and down buttons take you through settings and let you look at GPS readings for different holes.  Easy peasy to use but not sacrificing any performance whatsoever.  And Bluetooth technology lets you connect to the Bushnell App giving you detailed hole overviews to plan out shots and input stats like fairways and greens hit and total putts to track your progress.

Number 8. ▪️The Tour Hybrid magnet is very strong.  I shared a video on social showing how the rangefinder remains in place on your golf cart at the fastest speeds, up and down the steepest slopes, and over the most rugged terrain.  If you slowly move the Tour Hybrid towards the cart bars it will actually yank your arm forward to grab hold.

Number 9. ▪️A new and improved CR-123 battery in the Tour Hybrid is faster, more powerful, and should last longer than the previous model's CR-2 battery (CR-2 is used in the Bushnell Pro X3+ Link laser rangefinder).  Battery life on the previous model was generally a few months of continuous use.

Number 10. ▪️The Tour Hybrid is considered water-resistant but not water-proof.  It has a water resistance rating of IPX6 which means it's protected against powerful jets of water from any direction.  So even if it's raining cats and dogs you'll be just fine.  By comparison the Pro X3+ Link is considered water-proof with a water resistance rating of IPX7 which means it's protected against complete submersion in water.

Testing the new Tour Hybrid over numerous days and hours I can say confidently that performance actually exceeds the specifications Bushnell lists on their website.  It made me feel immersed in the course, almost connected to it.

If Tour Hybrid was any faster I honestly wouldn't be able to tell.  I wasn't merely trusting yardages, I was knowing them like the back of my hand.  And Tour Hybrid's ease of use makes it a rangefinder that everyone will enjoy using.
