As part of its ongoing journey towards hosting The 2031 Ryder Cup, the 36-hole European Tour Destination will implement a significant programme of course enhancements designed to elevate both the Stadium and Tour Courses to new levels of excellence.
Work is already underway on the €5.5 million upgrade, with activity intensifying during the summer, when one course will remain open while the other is renovated. All work is expected to be completed by October 2026.
Plana added, “This investment in our golf courses, combined with ongoing enhancements to accommodation, sports facilities and service, demonstrates our commitment to delivering an unparalleled golf experience. It represents investment not only in the courses themselves, but in the long-term enjoyment of our guests and the enduring legacy of Camiral as host of The 2031 Ryder Cup.”
Set across a 550-hectare estate, just outside the culinary capital of Girona and one hour from Barcelona, Camiral is home to the five-star Hotel Camiral, a member of The Leading Hotels of The World, and the four-star Lavida.
Beyond the fairways, the resort offers an array of sport and leisure facilities, including a state-of-the-art Wellness Centre, five on-site dining options, the seasonal Origin fine dining restaurant, and the reimagined Camiral Bistro.
Golfers visiting this 36-hole European Tour Destination can combine world-class golf with holistic wellness, innovative treatments, and exceptional Catalan cuisine, for a truly premium leisure experience.
