New Fujikura VENTUS TR Blue Officially Put in Play on Tour in La Quinta

Fujikura’s next generation VENTUS TR Blue - built with advanced VeloCore+ technology - has been officially unleashed this week in La Quinta as the world’s best players continue to put their faith in the Tour’s leading shaft brand in the game’s biggest events.

The new launch has been added to the brand’s flagship VENTUS line in California. By doing this, Fujikura’s experienced Tour reps have been working closely with each OEM and their fitters to ensure Tour trucks are stocked with the shaft, while educating staff and players on the engineering process to showcase the new VENTUS TR Blue to optimize results.

After leading the driver, wood and hybrid shaft count at the season-starter in Hawaii last week, Fujikura once again reigned as No.1 across all three at this week’s tournament in California.

In the driver category, 37.6% of the field put Fujikura shafts into play (up 2.8% from the same event last year and 11.5% ahead of the brand’s nearest competitor), while 38.4% trusted Fujikura in their woods (up 2.4% and 15.5% ahead of its nearest competitor) and 42.9% in hybrids.

Such has been the excitement surrounding the launch of the new VENTUS TR BLUE that even before this week’s official release, a select number of players had already managed to put the new shaft into play, in both Hawaii and Dubai on the international Tour.

The new addition builds on the legacy of the original VENTUS TR, renowned for offering players the perfect combination of stability and feel, for Tour professionals and club golfers alike. It was the original VENTUS TR that helped support one of the most popular wins on Tour last year, with the current World No.3 trusting the Blue 6-X profile in both his driver and mini driver on the way to claiming his maiden win in thrilling fashion at the ‘Season-finale’ in Atlanta.

Taking an already iconic shaft line to greater levels of power and consistency for golfers at every level, the new VENTUS TR Blue has been engineered using Fujikura’s proprietary enso® 3D motion capture testing technology.

The new profile, which delivers a smoother feel along with added stability and greater speed through impact and transition, will sit between VENTUS Blue and VENTUS Black, which makes it a great low spin option for a wide range of swings on Tour.

Available from 5-R through 9-X, the new profile is designed for players who want a stable, mid-launch shaft with enhanced control throughout the swing.

Pat McCoy, Director of Tour Operations at Fujikura, said: “This is our first week on Tour as we launch the new VENTUS TR Blue with VeloCore+ technology - and it has been a huge success. Multiple players are already trusting the new profile in their drivers and several additional players will test it in the coming weeks.

“The new VENTUS TR Blue has been upgraded with VeloCore+ technology, with proven stability and refined feel, and we are looking forward to this profile being a prominent option on Tour.”
