Shot Scope V3 GPS Watch - PGAPappas Giveaway Winner Guest Review

Our first international guest review comes from Steinthor in Iceland.  And we get some gorgeous, historic countryside golf course scenery to boot.  Steinthor I'm going to have to get over to Iceland sooner than later!

Steinthor won my new Shot Scope V3 GPS Watch Giveaway, and plans on using it all summer to dial in yardages and track his statistics.  He's found the new V3 GPS Watch to be "very comfortable" to wear and "quite accurate" compared to his rangefinder.

Hope you are well.  Thanks again for everything you do for Pete's golf community :)  Always so generous to your followers.

I finally got to try the Shot Scope V3 GPS watch with Automatic Performance Tracking I won in your giveaway.

The watch is very easy to use.  I've played 3 rounds so far here in Iceland, Brautarholt GC, Kidjaberg GC and Ondverdarnes GC.

The first impression is really good.  Very comfortable to wear, I was a bit worried about that as I never wear a watch on the course.  The distance shown is also quite accurate as I compared regularly using my rangefinder.  I'm planning on using the watch only for the next few rounds and see how it goes.  I'm used to using a rangefinder.

After the round it is very easy to upload the rounds and review on my dashboard.  If there is any mismatch it is very easy to edit the rounds to correct any errors.  I love to see the overview of the hole and to see my shots graphically with all the distances.

The one thing I'm still trying to get used to is to remember to mark the pin position on the watch when I pick up the ball from the hole.  But I'm sure that will become automatic after a few rounds. Also it's quite easy to add approximate pin position during the post round review.

Overall I'm really impressed with the watch and look forward to using it all summer and monitor my statistics.
