Original Penguin Golf, a division of Perry Ellis International, Inc., congratulates brand ambassador Nico Echavarria for winning the Puerto Rico Open and his first PGA TOUR title.

“I’m happy with life right now,” said Echavarria. “After missing four cuts in a row, only making two cuts, you just doubt yourself. Winning out here is very hard and I’m very grateful I kept pushing and got it done.”
With the win, Nico gets into THE PLAYERS Championship in his hometown, a spot in the PGA Championship as well as a two-year exemption on the PGA TOUR. “I hate that week not playing in the PLAYERS at home but I’m now glad I got my spot there and playing in Jacksonville-my home,” added Echavarria.
