Original Penguin Golf, known for its unique and fun approach to golf clothing, today reveals the outfits golf ambassador and defending Open Champion, Cameron Smith, will wear at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, July 20-23.
Attempting to secure his second Claret Jug after his maiden Major success at the 150th Open at St Andrews last July, Cam will be sporting a striking, colorful and high-performance apparel mix across all four championship days in north-west England.
His standout wardrobe will showcase key layering garments from the Fall 2023 Collection. Fall 2023 shines a spotlight on intelligent design with the use of recycled and sustainable materials across the entire collection, while using premium high-gauge, dull polyester/elastane blends on all knits, fluorocarbon-free performance finishes, and PrimaLoft™ for lightweight warmth.
The ‘Polar Pete’ line is expanded within Fall 2023 with on-trend layering and outerwear with great performance for those playing in all weather – and perfect for links golf. All fabrics and performance features continue to be crafted with sustainable yarn blends and eco-friendly technologies.

Cam begins his campaign on Thursday wearing the company’s much-loved Heritage Polo, that takes design inspiration from the Earl Polo, one the most iconic of Penguin Polos, that has been a consistent feature of the line since the company was formed in 1955.
On championship Sunday, Cam – only the fifth Australian in history to lift the Claret Jug – opts for his now default final day color, wearing The Heritage Polo in Rose Bouquet (pink).
To counter any chill winds across the Royal Liverpool links, Cam has opted for a range of layering pieces from the company’s Fall 2023 collection, including the Long Sleeve 80s Bomber Colour Block Jacket, the ¼ Zip 90s Colour Block Wind Jacket and a Trademark Printed Wind Jacket, featuring a bold ‘Pete.’
