Golf Datatech Unveils Rollback Survey on Proposed USGA and R&A Modified Local Rule

On the heels of the USGA /R&A’s announced proposal for a “Modified Local Rule” for elite competition that reduces the overall distance a golf ball would travel at extremely high speeds, Golf Datatech, LLC, the golf industry’s leading independent market research firm for retail sales, consumer, and trade trends, has unveiled a survey that provides immediate analysis of where Serious Golfers stand on the issue.

I recently conducted a survey on twitter with over 1,900 participants and votes that tapped into the pulse of this issue from golfers and golf fans alike and I'll show the results of my poll at the beginning here so you can compare to the Golf Datatech survey.

First Place Finish at TPC Sawgrass for Fujikura Ventus

Indian Wells Golf Resort Hosts Record-Breaking Stater Bros. Charities Heroes Challenge

World Golf Hall of Fame Announces Induction Class of 2024

USGA Announces That Saucon Valley Country Club Will Host Five USGA Championships

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced that Saucon Valley Country Club, in Bethlehem, Pa., will be the host site for five USGA championships, including the 2032 and 2042 U.S. Senior Opens. The club will also host the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur, 2038 U.S. Women’s Amateur and 2051 U.S. Amateur.

In 2022, Saucon Valley hosted its eighth USGA championship, as Padraig Harrington posted a one-stroke victory over Steve Stricker on the club’s Old Course to win the 42nd U.S. Senior Open.
