USGA unveils First Ever National Junior Team in Next Step for National Development Program

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has announced the establishment of the inaugural U.S. National Junior Team, the newest milestone for the U.S. National Development Program, which launched last year to ensure that American golf is the global leader in the game by focusing on six key pillars: talent identification, access to competition, national teams, athlete resources, player development and relations and athlete financial support.

Darrell Survey Shows 98.6 Percent of Players Prefer Bushnell Over Competitors

For another consecutive year, Bushnell Golf is definitively the preferred distance-measuring device on the PGA Tour. The Darrell Survey Company, the golf industry’s leading independent and impartial arbiter of equipment use, recently reported that 98.6 percent of THE PLAYERS Championship field used a Bushnell laser rangefinder in preparation for competition.

In a survey of 144 players taken during THE PLAYERS Championship, 142 of those players named Bushnell as their preferred distance-measuring device. Bushnell has claimed the top spot among PGA Tour players every year since measuring device usage recording began in 2006, and once again has been crowned the distance measuring device of choice for PGA Tour players participating in one of golf’s most competitive events.

USGA Elects Five to Executive Committee at 2024 Annual Meeting

Andrew Biggadike of Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.; David Dorton of Atlanta, Ga.; Virginia C. Drosos of Dallas, Texas; David Leitch of Earlysville, Va.; and Andy North of Madison, Wis. were elected to serve on the USGA Executive Committee at the Association’s Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tenn.

Additionally, Cathy Engelbert of Berkeley Heights, N.J., was elected to her second three-year term on the 15-person volunteer board that provides strategic and financial oversight as the Association’s policymaking and governance board.
