Today COBRA Golf introduced a new, limited edition DARKSPEED SEASON OPENER driver in celebration of golf’s first major. Like the in-line DARKSPEED models, the LE driver features groundbreaking aerodynamic shaping, a re-engineered PWR-BRIDGE, and advanced A.I. designed PWRSHELL H.O.T. Face technology.
While vibrant colors usually define golf’s inaugural major, this year, darkness reigns supreme. The new DARKSPEED LS SEASON OPENER limited edition driver combines a unique colorway with Azaleas on the sole and Augusta green highlights for a festive, spring feel. Paired with an exclusive shaft and headcover, this driver makes a statement in both looks and performance.
The adjustable weighting system in the DARKSPEED LE SEASON OPENER drivers allows players to tune the club to adjust forgiveness, launch angle, and spin. The LS model, aimed at faster swingers who create higher spin rates, features three weight ports that house two 3g weights and one 12g weight; two in the front and a third back weight position. The 12g weight can be placed in the heel or toe to fine-tune fade bias, or in the back to add spin and forgiveness. The X model, which is designed to fit the widest range of players, features a back weight and a second front weight position allowing players to optimize ball flight.
DARKSPEED drivers also feature a MULTI-MATERIAL CHASSIS with LIGHTWEIGHT CARBON CROWN AND SOLE PLATES as well as a reinforced titanium frame to create optimal weight distribution and maximum stability. The carbon fiber crown is 30% thinner allowing more weight to be placed low and forward in the PWR-BRIDGE structure. A.I. designed PWR-BRIDGE Weighting in all three models features a suspended weight that is positioned lower and more forward, resulting in faster ball speed. A 13% larger PWRSHELL face insert with A.I. designed H.O.T. Face Technology maximizes speed across the hitting area. The face design is optimized using machine learning to increase ball speed efficiency and smash factor.
The DARKSPEED LE SEASON OPENER drivers come in a sleek, black colorway with a unique Azalea print on the sole and green highlights that capture the essence of spring and the famous Augusta tournament. A matching limited edition head cover comes standard along with Mitsubishi Tensei 1k Black shaft in choice of X, S, or R flex and 9- and 10.5-degree loft options.

Cobra golf does it again! Loved my F9 driver until I gave it away to my brother but I still have the F9 3 wood and it's still a winner.
