PGA champion and former WR#1 golfer, Jason Day, and PAYNTR Golf, North America’s fastest growing golf footwear brand, today announce their partnership and collaborative effort to create a trailblazing golf footwear collection, blending Day’s impeccable style preferences with PAYNTR Golf’s cutting-edge propulsion technology, award-winning traction, and on-course comfort features.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the world of golf footwear, as it brings together the expertise of one of the world’s top golfers with the innovative capabilities of the game’s leading footwear brand. The collection, dubbed the X1 Proto, is slated to hit retail in Fall 2024 with Day testing the model throughout the 2024 professional golf season. Day is currently wearing the X 006 RS in PGA TOUR competition.

A key highlight of this collaboration is Day’s equity ownership in PAYNTR Golf, showcasing his deep commitment to the brand’s vision and the success of this venture. Day’s affiliation with PAYNTR Golf goes beyond a mere endorsement deal. It is a true partnership where Day is actively involved in the design and development process from inception to execution.
Day and PAYNTR Golf’s design process of the X1 Proto model will take over the next six months and the entire collaborative collection will be highly anticipated within the golf industry as this is the brand’s first foray into developing a silo of golf footwear with a classic design aesthetic. The collection will combine Day’s signature style elements with PAYNTR Golf’s proprietary propulsion technology and advanced comfort features, resulting in a product that is both distinctive and performance-driven.
This collection is not just a signature model, rather, it is a joint effort between Day and PAYNTR Golf, reflecting the shared vision of an untapped marketplace that underpins the entire project. This approach ensures that the collection resonates with golfers of all skill levels, introducing a blend of style, functionality and performance that opens a new frontier and is sure to be unmatched in the market.
The development process of this collection will be rigorous and meticulous, with prototype testing taking place throughout the 2024 golf season. This announcement comes on the heels of the 2024 PGA Merchandise Show where PAYNTR Golf introduced the Trainer X 001, a training shoe that utilizes a Carbitex™ GearFlex propulsion plate.
