2021 FootJoy HyperFlex WRAPID BOA Golf Shoes Review

You really can’t exaggerate how insanely comfortable the new FootJoy HyperFlex golf shoes are.

There's a sensation of HyperFlex  molding around your entire foot. And your foot goes deeper into the shoe than the previous model with an even greater locked-in stability.

Ground awareness is fantastic, almost barefoot-like with more flexibility thanks to the waterproof knit upper, a higher toe, and channels in the outsole.

 

During your swing the greater toe and sole flexibility allows more foot action, which also enhances your balance allowing you to feel more of your weight shift and balls of your feet.

The new WRAPID BOA system feels like it tightens the shoe more naturally and evenly everywhere around the foot, and this also adds to the heightened sense of stability.  More traditional ace options are available as well.

 

You also get incredible levels of traction thanks to the combination of Pulsar LP cleats and nobs, as well as the TPU flex plate outsole.

This outsole is semi-rigid, so no matter the lie, the bottom of your foot is grabbing as much turf as possible while still being firm enough to deliver stability.

For me comfort is the biggest story with HyperFlex, and the new StratoFoam is a thicker but lightweight cushion you feel immediately (it’s also used in the FJ Stratos which I’ll also be reviewing soon).

StratoFoam is like a padded cushion with softness for amazing comfort to keep your feet feeling fresh, and still has enough firmness for great stability.
