Mitsubishi Shafts Win Abu Dhabi Championship and Total Driver Shaft Count

With Rory McIlroy chasing him Tyrrell Hatton won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on the European Tour by four shots this weekend using a Mitsubishi Diamana RF 60X.

Hatton averaged 304.9 yards off the tee while holding off a premier field at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Four of the top-5 finishers used a Mitsubishi driver, including Jason Scrivener (solo second using a Kuro Kage Silver 60X, and finishing 12th in Driver Accuracy while averaging 294 yards off the tee), David Lipsky (T-5, 11th in Driver Accuracy), and Marc Warren (T-5, averaging 301.6 yards off the tee).

Both Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood switched back into Mitsubishi last week.  Rose averaged 294.3 yards off the tee and Fleetwood finished T7 using a Mitsubishi Diamana DF 70X, averaging 304.3 yards off the tee.

Overall, Mitsubishi won the Total Driver Shaft Count with over 43% of the field playing Mitsubishi.  And the first Aldila Ascent went into play on the European Tour last week as well.
