Wilson Staff has unveiled its new line of D9 drivers, fairway woods, and irons using more than 120 computers to ensure the entire line delivers more distance and control than ever before.
Using these computers Wilson was able to simulate and compare different clubhead designs to produce the most effective design possible in each club category.
The new D9 Drivers feature new face technology called PKR (peak kinetic response). This technology divides the face into smaller series of zones so each millimeter of the face surface delivers the best possible distance.
In addition, a new three-layer composite crown improves feel and sound, while also reducing weight and lowering CG for improved ball flight and forgiveness.
The new D9 irons feature the largest, thinnest unsupported face in Wilson history which translates to greater ball speeds and more forgiveness on off-center strikes.
Power Hole 2.0 Technology uses urethane filled pocket arrangements are used for higher ball speeds and greater distance, and the lowest, deepest CG ever in a Wilson iron improves launch and spin characteristics compared to the previous D7 irons..
The new D9 line of clubs will be available January 26th.
