PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas JingleBAM DAY 3 Golf Giveaway: Bridgestone Golf 12 Dozen (Year Supply) of Tour B Golf Balls

Don't know if you heard but some dude named Tiger is playing tonight?  Grin... yeah it's an exhibition match, but tonight's Capital One The Match pitting Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas has all the feels of something that could put exhibition golf back on the map.

Tiger recently switched from the Bridgestone Golf Tour B XS to the Tour B X, and I believe tonight is the first time he'll be using it competitively.  And so it seems a perfect day to have my JingleBAM DAY 3 giveaway.  A full year's supply, 12 dozen 2022 Bridgestone Golf Tour B balls.  The winner can choose from any of the Tour B X, Tour B XS, Tour B RX, or Tour B RXS.

You'll find a quick refresher below with my impressions on all four models to give you an idea of how the four balls compare.  And you can also check out the Bridgestone Golf Online Ball Fitter here.  Bridgestone taps into a database of over 320.000 live launch monitor fittings to best help you choose the ideal ball for your game.

All four Tour B models use REACTIV iQ technology causing the ball to rebound faster on tee shots for more ball speed and distance, but also to stay on the face longer on approach shots delivering more spin and control.  Tour B balls also use Dual Dimple technology which essentially improves ball aerodynamics creating a more efficient trajectory and reduced drag.

The Tour B X (the ball Tiger is using tonight) is a ball for players with swing speeds of 105 mph or higher and for players who want to maximize distance.  Even with my swing speed lower than 105 mph I regularly get spin in the 5,000 RPM range with this ball with my mid-irons which is plenty good to hold greens.

The Tour B XS also is for players with swing speeds north of 105 mph but provides a little more spin and also has a softer feel.  I tend to hit Tour B XS longer than Tour B X with both my driver and irons (in each case about 5 yards longer).  Tour B XS surprisingly has lower driver spin for me than the Tour B X but noticeably more spin on full shots with my irons and wedges.  This is the best ball for me in the Tour B family.

The Tour B RX is designed for players who swing less than 105 mph and the difference between Tour B RX and Tour B RXS is similar to the difference between the Tour B X and Tour B XS.  Tour B RXS has a softer feel and a little more spin than Tour B RX.  I hit the Tour B RX about the same distance as the Tour B X off the tee, but surprisingly shorter than the Tour B XS (I say surprisingly because my swing speed would suggest the R balls are better suited for me).  With my irons this ball gives me a tad more distance than the Tour B XS, but I also get more iron and wedge spin with the Tour B XS which I prefer.

The Tour B RXS gives me the longest total distance and greatest roll out with driver, and is about the same distance for me with irons as the Tour B XS.  So you might think this is the ball for me, right?  However I still prefer Tour B XS to Tour B RXS because it is still the best spinning ball for me with irons and wedges.

Remember you always have three different ways to win the daily gifts in my giveaway this year.  On twitter just retweet my giveaway announcement and follow all; on Instagram repost, mention in your story, or like, and follow all; and here on my blog leave a comment in the section below in the daily review/giveaway, Jingle Bam, and Letters from Santa articles.

These gifts are great prizes of course, but also some of the best equipment and gear in their class that I played and reviewed this season.  And I hope these mini reviews and recaps give you an idea of why I rate them so highly.

Merry Christmas all!

    1. Don't know if you saw Tiger's last interview... talked a lot about ball and wasn't like a PR move... he legit believes ball most important aspect of any set up, any bag. Was an interesting watch.
