Garsen Golf congratulates Zack Fischer on his win at the PGA Tour Latinoamerica Argentina Open. Zack shot a final round 68 to finish at 18 under securing a 1 shot victory while using his custom Garsen Quad Tour putter grip. The champion now claims a spot in next year’s Open Championship. Adding to the recent PGA Tour Houston Open and LPGA Tour Championship victories, this now totals 60 tour wins for Garsen.
With a spine down the center of the grip, the Max is Garsen’s most non-traditional grip. This design makes the front of the grip sit at two 45 degree angles to the target line instead of a flat parallel surface.
Gripping the Max naturally supinates the player’s forearms reducing the amount of wrist motion in the player’s putting stroke. This position stabilizes the putter face during the entire stroke helping the player consistently deliver a square putter face at impact.
The new version of the Max, The Max Tour, has the same shape with a smooth leather like texture. This material is a favorite for those that like a tacky grip or have sweaty hands while playing. This material is also available on the Quad Tour Pistol line.
In a recent study conducted by Dr. Tyler Standifird of Utah Valley University, the Garsen Max caused a 10 inch improvement in proximity to the hole for 25 foot putts when compared to a stock putter grip. It also showed more consistent face angles through impact and a better attack angle. The study involved 30 participants with an average handicap of 15 who had never used a Max grip before.
