Tiger Woods makes his return to PGA TOUR competition at this week’s Genesis Invitational from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., headlining live golf tournament coverage this week on GOLF Channel, Peacock and NBC Sports digital platforms.
In addition to Woods, the star-studded field at the Genesis Invitational features 19 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Ranking including World No. 1 and last week’s WM Phoenix Open winner Scottie Scheffler, World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, World No. 3 Jon Rahm, and 2021 Genesis champion Max Homa.
PGA TOUR: GENESIS INVITATIONAL
Woods, who serves as the host of the Genesis Invitational, will be making his first PGA TOUR start since the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews last July. Woods made his PGA TOUR debut at the Genesis in 1992 and has never won the event, earning two runner-up finishes in 1998 and 1999.
Woods will be paired for the first two rounds alongside McIlroy and Justin Thomas, opening the event Thursday with a 3:04 p.m. ET tee time. GOLF Channel and Peacock will present live coverage beginning at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, and lead-in coverage over the weekend will get underway at 1 p.m. ET.
