Fred Couples Signed Masters Flag and FRED Yellow Bridgestone Golf Ball: 2023 PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Golf Giveaway DAY 4

I know a lot of you love your golf memorabilia and for DAY 4 of my PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Golf Giveaway we have a great one.  He's one of the most popular golfers of all time.  He won one of the most exciting and memorable Masters in history.  And he has the coolest nickname in golf.

Of course I'm talking about Fred "Boom Boom" Couples.  And one of you is going to win a Fred signed Masters flag and exact same Yellow Bridgestone Golf ball he's played with that same "FRED" stamp he uses every tournament he plays in.

Couples has been with Bridgestone Golf now for a long time and that yellow FRED Bridgestone ball he uses is as cool as you'd expect it to be.  And speaking of Bridgestone they are cooking with fire in 2024.  I can't tell you what's coming just yet, but it's all kinds of awesome.

Every Masters champion has to successfully navigate “Amen Corner” on Sunday if he’s going to wear the green jacket.  And at the 56th Masters in 1992 Couples survived this rite of passage with the help of something supernatural.  Fred held a three-stroke lead heading towards the treacherous No. 12.  But when his tee shot came up short, and hit the sloping bank of Rae's Creek, Couples' dreams of winning the Masters were about to wash away.

There was really no reason Couples' ball should have stopped.  Nothing was in its way.  Nothing that anyone could have seen that is.  99 out of 100 times that ball winds up in a watery grave.  But miraculously it held on.  "The biggest break probably of my life," Couples said afterwards. Couples chipped up to inside a foot and held on to win his first major by two strokes.  Augusta officials could have stopped the tournament right there and declared Couples the winner.  His ball was touched by an angel.

Fast forward 31 years and Couples now also has the Masters record of 23 consecutive cuts made at Augusta National, an accomplishment shared only with Gary Player and fellow Bridgestone Golf staffer Tiger Woods.

Remember you always have three different ways to win the daily gifts in my giveaway this year.  On X/Twitter just repost my giveaway announcement and follow all; on Instagram repost or mention in your story, like, and follow all; and here on my blog leave a comment in the section below in the daily review/giveaway, Jingle Bam, Letters from Santa, Jingle Bam Bigger, and Flash Kringle Gonna Kringle articles.

These gifts are great prizes of course, but also some of the best equipment and gear in their class that I played and reviewed this season.  And I hope these mini reviews and recaps give you an idea of why I rate them so highly.

Merry Christmas all!

  11. Legendary. That yellow Bridgestone probably would’ve had the distance needed to be 3ft from the pin.
