Oh boy, Santa's having a tough one tonight. Last minute office party pressures and the old cliché, if something can go wrong it will. Santa thrives on chaos though. I have a feeling he's going to pull it off tonight. Though he might be using the nuclear option, the Santa Smokescreen to get it done. I'll let him tell you all about it in his letter below.
Right to the point, Santa's a big fan of LA Golf (seems he finds their origin story (if you will) relatable in his own.
First here's Santa's actual letter to me.
There's an expression in life that says you can't please all of the people all of the time, but I'm not sure the folks at Golf Pride grips buy into that. More than 80-percent of players on Tour use Golf Pride grips, and they aren't even endorsed to do so.
Three of the major championships were won by Golf Pride grips this year and Scottie Scheffler's Tour Velvet remain some of the most popular on Tour every week. Tour Velvet are flat-out Blue Ribbon by any measure or standard.
In my experience playing Tour Velvet there aren't any scenarios where I wouldn't completely trust this grip. Rainy days, humid days, hot summer days. Comfort and traction is outstanding and reliable in all these weather conditions. So let's give you the choice of Tour Velvet or Tour Velvet Cord.
You can also choose the Golf Pride CP2 Pro or CPX, two of Golf Pride's softest performing grips. The high-tack CP2 Pro features a reduced taper design in the lower hand to reduce grip pressure for increased comfort and power. While the CPX new tactile design is actually raised to maximize the contact-area with your hands. Accomplished in different ways, both CP2 Pro and CPX offer maximum softness and maximum control.
And finally let's also include some Limited Edition grips you can choose from. The Asher grips are Tour Velvet but in colors never offered before. The Cognac and Ash colors have a subtle boldness to them and of course you're getting that iconic Tour Velvet performance.
Remember you always have three different ways to win the daily gifts in my giveaway this year. And if you missed a day don't worry. You can enter ANY of the DAY Giveaways anytime throughout the entire 12 Days of Christmas.
On X/Twitter just repost my giveaway announcement and follow all; on Instagram repost or mention in your story, like, and follow all; and here on my blog leave a comment in the section below in the daily review/giveaway, Jingle Bam, Letters from Santa, Jingle Bam Bigger, Santa Dared Me, and Kringle Gonna Kringle, and Santa Said Do It articles.
These gifts are great prizes of course, but also some of the best equipment and gear in their class that I played and reviewed this season. And I hope these mini reviews and recaps give you an idea of why I rate them so highly.
Merry Christmas all! And here's Santa's letter to me again.
Pedro pressed for time here. Mrs. Claus oven went haywire mid-cookie bake. We promised to bring her famous Gingerbread cookies over to Frosts tonight, another Christmas office party. Can you imagine the snarky comments if we showed up emptyhanded? And worse? This is the kind of thing that can start an elf uprising. Even full blown guerrilla elf warfare. Remember the Elf Rebellion of 1225? I shudder to even bring it up my friend.
So let’s make this slam dunk easy tonight. Everyone loves a winner. If you’re not first you’re last right? And what comes to mind? The #1 Grip on Tour of course. I’d ask you how a full set of 13 Golf Pride grips sounds but I know you. In that stockpile of clubs you have I’ve never seen anything except Golf Pride. You’re a Golf Pride fanboy Pedro, first step is just admitting it.
Give everyone a choice. Have to include the iconic Golf Pride Tour Velvets, and let’s also offer these in Cord. The CP2 Pro and CPX are also really popular and great soft feel options without sacrificing control. And have you ever done any limited edition Golf Pride giveaways? Let’s fix that tonight in DAY 7 of your PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas. Throw in the Asher in Cognac and Ash. These are Tour Velvets and honestly give these grips a kind of fresh, bold vibe.
Well wish me luck tonight. If we can’t get the Gingerbread cookie situation resolved soon it’s not beneath me to throw down a Santa Smokescreen. 60% of the time, it works every time. Arrive in a monster truck filled to the roof with Johnnie Walker Blue Label. That’s the first spectacle. And then to leave no doubt bring a Karaoke Machine with wireless mics for everyone. Should be exactly the distraction I need.
I’ll let you know how it goes,
Nick
